Remove photo location, then black out a name or address
This free tool removes the hidden location and other data stored inside a photo, then lets you black out or blur a name, address or account number on a screenshot before you share it. It runs entirely in your browser: your photo is never uploaded, and nothing is saved after you close the page.
Educational only. Not legal advice.
1. Remove location from photos
Choose one or more photos. Each one gets a clean copy to download.
2. Black out or blur a name or address
Choose a picture, then drag a box over what to hide.
How to keep these papers
Keep dated copies of the papers you already have in one place, and write the day something happened on the same day. KeepMyProof is a private phone app for that: folders with checklists, the day it happened next to the day you saved it, and one PDF of a folder when someone asks.
Coming soon to Google Play.
Questions
Does a photo really store where it was taken?
Many phone cameras save GPS coordinates, the phone model and the time inside the photo file. Anyone you send the original file to can read them. Saving a fresh copy without that data, as this tool does, removes them.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool reads the photo in your browser, draws a clean copy and lets you download it. Nothing is sent to KeepMyProof or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Should I black out information on papers I send?
Only send what the person asking needs. Ask your lawyer, school or agency what they need before you change or black out a paper they asked for, and keep your untouched original.
